The third joint Federal and State Civil Protection Day will take place on July 12, 2025, in Rostock, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Haedge Peninsula. Visitors can expect an informative and varied program with demonstrations and hands-on activities on the southern bank of the Lower Warnow River.
In addition to the Federal Office for Civil Protection (BBK), fire departments, the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (BTA), and aid organizations, other institutions and organizations, as well as state and federal ministries, will be present in Rostock. Thus, many key stakeholders in protecting the population will be gathered in one place on this day.
What to expect
After Potsdam in 2023 and Wiesbaden in 2024, in 2025 we will be filling the Haedge Peninsula near Rostock's city center with emergency personnel and numerous actors from fire, civil protection, and disaster management.
In keeping with the Hanseatic city of Rostock and its location on the Warnow River, the motto of this year's Civil Protection Day is "Water - Using Resources, Mastering Risks." Visitors can expect an exciting program for children and adults with varied demonstrations, hands-on activities, and much more.
